A Dog's Journey across America - Portland

The blog called Buddy’s Journey is about me. My name is Casey and I’m a proud owner of a human. Recently, my human decided to take me places around the States. We are on the hunt for the most amazing, well-operated pet-friendly establishments around the country. And we have just started. Last time we visited San Francisco and the bar had been raised. This time, my lovely human and I are going to hit Portland, the largest Oregonian city, inhabited by close to 2,5 million people

Portland, OR

Touching down in Portland, OR makes me gradually restless. You can see it by my tail. That’s why it’s called a tell-tail sign. I can’t wait to experience the famous Portland doggy parks everyone is going on about. I also can’t wait to relieve myself at the airport’s one square meter grass patch. It’s a dog’s life.

Pet Friendly Hotels Portland OR

#1 Oxford Suites Portland

12226 N Jantzen Ave, Portland, OR (located on Janzen island, exit 1 off I-5)

As you will probably come to know, most hotels and inns throughout the Portland area require a pet fee. We’ve found one place that seems promising. We can review it here together. First off, you can book any type of rooming from a studio double that comes with a Queen size bed to the Oxford premium suite. There are options here you’ll enjoy, including recreational amenities, an indoor pool, a sauna, a 24-hour fitness center, high-speed Internet, concierge services, and gift shops. You can mingle away at the hotel restaurant or a bar and make yourself at home at the lounge. The hotel is close to the Academy, not far from the heart of the city. One extra tip upon meeting hotel staff: Any furry friend you bring along need to be formally approved by the manager, even though all dogs are welcome in every room, but the process is such. I felt super important when the managerial staff asked for my name, breed and took me in officially.
